Volunteer

Volunteering at Door Step School empowers people to bring in a change in the lives of underserved children and also in turn makes an impact in their own lives by seeing the smiles they manage to draw across the faces of these children. We have plenty of opportunities if you are interested in volunteering with us and contributing your time by participating in our programs.

As a volunteer you can:

Help with class room activities, art and craft activities in the community
Help at the Computer Center for imparting basic computer literacy skills
Help with puppet shows, storytelling, singing songs and other language development activities at Community Learning center
E-learning activities for teaching English
Teach English to children who are first generation learners
Help in preparing teaching aids
Provide training to the staff by imparting computer skills
Help in documentation of human interest stories, reports, data entry in computers
Lend a helping hand in organizing events such as Diwali celebration, Independence Day, Republic Day celebration, Christmas Program, Literacy Day Celebration
Organize awareness sessions on topics like Health and Hygiene, Importance of Education etc
Organize one day picnics and educational excursions for a group of children
