At Door Step School we believe that corporate partnerships go beyond CSR compliance, enabling long-term, measurable change in the lives of India’s most underserved children.

Over the past three decades, we have built strong and enduring partnerships with national and international donors, institutions, government bodies, and development agencies, enabling the organisation to deliver high-impact educational programmes for children from the most underserved communities.

Key Donors and Collaborators:

Doorstep School proudly acknowledges the enduring partnerships with organizations such as EQT, TIAA, UNICEF, UNDP, Shapoorji Pallonji, L&T, Best Alternative Advisory – Services LLP, Apex Foundation, Child Action – Sharma, Children Hope INC, CAF America, Cyrus Investments Pvt. Ltd., First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Hemraj Goyal Foundation, International Asset Reconstruction Company (P) Ltd. (IARC), Kalpataru Limited, Navneet Foundation, Northern Arc, Schueco India Private Limited, Social Initiative – CARNIGIE, Social Initiative – EQT, United Way of Mumbai – Deloitte, and numerous individual High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs).

As a matter of ethical commitment, the NGO does not accept funds/support from companies associated with Alcoholic Beverages/ harmful substances.

Government Collaborations:

  • Since 1989, Doorstep School has garnered support from government bodies, particularly Mumbai Municipal Corporation, a steadfast partner in the School Partnership Program across MMC/BMC Schools.
  • In 2022-23, Doorstep School was invited by the Government of Maharashtra to train 2500 Government School Teachers, endorsed by the Maharashtra Prathamik Shikshan Parishad of the Government of Maharashtra.
  • The organization has also been granted permission by the Government of Maharashtra to implement its School Partnership Program in Mumbai and municipal schools as well as Ashram Schools in Pen Block, Raigad District.
  • Doorstep School’s active participation in campaigns such as Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan and collaboration under the Nipun Bharat Mission showcases its commitment to government initiatives for educational upliftment.

International Collaborations with
United Nation’s Agencies:

  • Doorstep School’s global reach is evident through collaborations with United Nations agencies. Noteworthy instances include direct support from UNICEF in 2003-2004 for the Non-Formal Education program.
  • In 2022 under the leadership of the District Collector Mumbai City, a blueprint for enumerating and responding to Children in Street Situations (CiSS) was developed by UNICEF   in which Door Step School Mumbai’s flagship program – School on Wheels model was documented under Good practices in relation to children in street situations that can be integrated into the ward action plan.
  • UNESCO recognized Doorstep School’s contribution in 2001, highlighting its role as a local partner in a study on primary education in Mumbai.
  • In 2023-24, as Doorstep school is known for it’s work with children in street situations, UNICEF has partnered with Doorstep School once again for undertaking a study on the children in street situations and children living and working on the streets covering 5 states. (Study is currently in progress)
  • Door Step School’s work is strengthened through strategic collaborations, responsible partnerships, and innovation in education delivery. We actively seek to engage with organisations committed to creating measurable and sustainable social impact.
  • Corporates and institutions can partner with us through structured CSR engagements, including payroll giving, employee volunteering programmes, and philanthropic or programmatic funding.
